Live Love Care Think Learn Dare

Happy New Year!

Welcome back.  I hope everyone had a lovely (if wet) Christmas holiday.

The children have returned with great enthusiasm (particularly for ‘Star Wars’!).

Our Global and Collective Worship theme this month is ‘Education’.  We talked about how learning doesn’t stop even when you are a grown-up. I was very interested to learn about parents who are learning to coach in various sports, taking up new sports like ice-skating and learning to play a variety of musical instruments. It was very inspirational.

They were very excited to learn that our much promised building work is actually going to begin on January 25th. The hall erupted when I mentioned that there will be a crane…which is even more exciting than ‘Star Wars’!

We look forward to three new classrooms by the end of the summer holidays.  Please take extra care during this time.

We have lots of clubs on offer this term and the take up has been excellent. I am delighted we have retained the Bronze Sportsmark Award; we are working towards Silver this year. Two of our Y6 boys have been selected for the U11 Wessex cricket team – congratulations!
