Dear Parents/Carers

Poppy Appeal – thank you for your kind donations- we raised £297 for this very worthy cause.

Nursery Midday Supervisor Vacancy : Monday-Friday, 11.30am-12.45pm

£15,014 pro rata (£7.78 per hour) – 6.25 hours per week term time only

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and flexible Midday Supervisor to join our small and friendly team, to start as soon as possible.  Application forms and further details available from the office.

Parents’ Evening: Monday 13 November (3.30-6.00pm). Please be mindful of where you park and avoid blocking in our neighbours.

Ways in:  KS2 through the front, then through the hall to get to Y3, Y4, Y5, Y6.

Elf Owls: Front entrance, turn right and wait in KS1 corridor outside Elf Owl classroom

Little Owls: Through playground and wait in cloakroom outside Little Owls classroom.

Forest Owls: Through playground and wait in KS1 cloakroom outside Forest Owls classroom.

Anti-Bullying Week takes place next week – the children will be designing posters and completing Oxfordshire’s anti-bullying and cyber-bullying surveys.

No Yoga Club Thursday 16th November – catch up sessions will be arranged. 

Activities this week:

Nursery: Making amazing brick structures and collages with blue and green.

Reception: Room on the Broom artwork, rhyming words and making fairy cakes.

Forest, Elf and Little Owls: African drumming workshop with Djembe drums.

KS2: Very busy with learning the songs for their production.

Y3: Studying Autumn leaves and writing leaf poems.

Y4:  Presented a very diverse and entertaining class assembly, from Abba to Victorian games. Creating Wanted Posters for Mr X!

Y5: Benchball, angles and tests of divisibility!

Y6: The West End dancer Dennis Victory led a street dance workshop. He wowed us with a cartwheel into the splits (and he is in his 40s…). They also had a video link with their friends in Sweden.

Whole school activities this week included the Remembrance Service, parents’ evening and two governors’ meetings (finance and full governors).

Attendance: Almost Full Attendance 30 October-3 November Y3 – well done!

Out of School achievements: Ellie Newby Silver Rookie Lifeguard, Dixie Kenneford Merit in her Ballet exam, Torin Hackland Red Award Wade Gymnastics, Poppy Queenan Stage 7 Swimming,
