Message from Hook Norton Low CarbonOur next open event on Saturday 19th March will be an open air one, hopefully in the spring sunshine, from 12:00-4pm at Hook Norton Primary School.

So come up and try an electric bike and see how they feel just like an ordinary bike until you need that extra little help on a hill – we do have a few of those in Hooky !

Not only that you can bring along your driving licence and try out our community electric car which will have been charging nicely from the solar panels at the school all ready for the day.

Activities this week: Y3 showcased the work they have been doing this term in their class assembly to the school and parents. They did really well, especially as Mrs Nixon was in Sweden so they ran it all by themselves!

Some of Y6 flew to Sweden with Mrs Nixon and Ms Kershaw and are having an ‘amazing’ time and really enjoying the snow. The rest of Y6 talked to their classmates via Skype and they were all very excited! Y6 children here cooked a two course healthy lunch and dined together like kings!

Sarah Nisbett (Head of Ducklington school) visited to look at the work of the school.  She was really impressed how well everyone has adapted to the building work.

There were Finance and Curriculum meetings for governors this week.  Our finances are all on track, you will be glad to hear! Mrs Crouch gave a report on how we assess in Maths and governors examined maths books from every class.

Sport: Y1 attended the Dance Festival at Chipping Norton School ; everyone enjoyed learning new dances with children from other partnership schools.
