Dear Parents

The building work is all going to plan, so far!  Next week the concrete footings will be going in by crane and the quiet room in Yellow Room will be converted into a cloakroom.

Please do not enter the school through the car park (even if the gates are open!). There are lorries as well as cars in and out of the car park; we need to ensure everyone is safe.

Activities this week: I was delighted to give the children a lovely surprise – a touring theatre company came and thoroughly entertained us with a rousing performance of ‘Dick Whittington’.

Y5 and Y6 also had a visit to Sibford School to see their performance of ‘The Wizard of Oz’, which also was excellent.

Y5 wowed us with their knowledge of space and the planets in their sharing act of worship.  We all now know how to brush our teeth in space!

Y2 Parents’ Evening: On Thursday 3rd March, Y2 parents’ evening will be 6.00pm to 7.30pm as Mrs Voce is taking the Y6 netball team to the district finals.  There will be an addition hour available on Tuesday 8th March 3.30-4.30pm.

Reminder: Y2 Sharing Assembly Wednesday 24 February at 9.10 a.m. in the hall. Parents and families welcome.

Brownies/Guides/Rainbows – come to school with uniform Monday 22nd for Thinking Day.

Travelling Book Fair will be in school Wed 24/2/16 until 02/3/16, in the Reception area and corridor.

Message from Y6 School Councillors: On Friday 26th February we will be having a non-uniform day to raise money to sponsor an endangered animal. Please could each child bring in a donation of £1. Any money raised will be used to sponsor an endangered animal and to purchase bird feeders and food for the school grounds.
