Newsletter 13 July 2018

Dear Parents

We are coming to the end of the school year and we have the usual mountain of lost property! The office has various items – jewellery/keys/sunglasses/children’s toys etc. We also have two lost property bins overflowing with clothing. Any unclaimed possessions will be disposed of at the end of term so please have a thorough search.

Reports: Report cards are coming home today, so look out for those in book bags. We hope you enjoy sharing your children’s successes and their wonderful comments and self-portraits. If you wish to discuss the report in more detail, please make an appointment with the class teacher. The attendance figure on the report card is up to May half term and does not include any absences that may have been taken since then.

Prize Giving and Celebration Service: You are most welcome to join us at our annual Prize Giving and Celebration Service next Thursday at 9.10am in the hall. We will be celebrating the achievements of all the children with a range of subjects, including sports, the Arts, academic, citizenship, attendance and CNS partnership events.

TalkingSpace Plus: Life can be stressful for parents and carers – especially during the long summer break. It is important to take time to care for yourselves. TalkingSpace Plus is a free, confidential NHS service for adults in Oxfordshire, to help people when they’re feeling stressed, anxious or low. TalkingSpace Plus provides a range of talking therapies and wellbeing activities, if you feel you would benefit from their service please contact them directly on 01865 901222 or visit www.talkingspaceplus.org.uk.

Reminders: School finishes at 1.30pm next Friday.
Owl Club will close at 4.30pm on Friday 20th July.
We follow the standard Oxfordshire policy of no jewellery in PE so if children are getting their ears pierced, please do so at start of summer holidays so they can be removed for September!

FOHNS: Many thanks to Laura Wyatt and her team for organising a lovely summer BBQ with perfect weather! Over £1500 was raised towards the new pirate ship.
