Dear Parents

Mrs Belgrove is currently attending the Head Teacher’s Conference in Stratford-upon-Avon, focussed on the theme ‘Visions of Learning’ with visiting speakers including David Blunkett, previous Minister for Education. We are all looking forward to her sharing everything with us on her return next week.

Swedish Visit: Mrs Peters and Miss Hope (International Co-ordinator) are accompanying a group of 12 Year 6’s to Vara next Wednesday, returning the following Monday evening. They will be staying with host families and experiencing life in another country. Mrs Inglis will be taking the rest of Year 6, and Mrs Gibbard-Atherton will be teaching Year 3.

Dance Festival:  Y1 attended the Chipping Norton Schools’ Partnership Dance Festival this week, led by Chipping Norton School’s Sports leaders from Year 10 and Year 12. This is one of an extensive timetable of events organised through the Chipping Norton Schools’ Sports Partnership, led by Jo Phillips and funded by our sports grant.

Reminders: Bag2School collection – please bring in your bags to the Study Centre (boys shower room) on Monday next week, ready for the 9am collection Tuesday 17 March (good quality clothes, paired shoes, hats, belts, handbags and soft toys are accepted, but no bedding, towels, bric-a-brac or curtains please).

RECEPTION and KS1 will be going to Church for Collective Worship next Thursday 19 March – please make sure children have a coat and suitable walking shoes.  Key Stage 2’s Collective Worship was at St Peter’s yesterday.

Well Done! This week we have said Well Done to: All Year 1, Lucas Bayliss, David Kirk, Miles Lloyd, All Year 3, All Year 4, Jerome Davies, Ellie Butler, Cathryn Kirk

Out of School Achievements: Well done to Lucy Willis for taking part in the Rotary Swimathon (swimming 78 lengths), Fred Neal (600m swimming), Abbie Esson (Stage 1 swimming), and Cathryn Kirk who was awarded a distinction for her ensemble at the Chipping Norton Music Festival.
