Author visit for Key Stage 1: Next Thursday afternoon, 21 April, author Tamsyn Murray will be visiting to talk to Year 1 and Year 2 as part of the Chipping Norton Literary Festival. Tamsyn’s books Stunt Bunny Rabbit Racer, Stunt Bunny Showbiz Sensation and Stunt Bunny Medal Mayhem, will be on sale at £5.99 – please send in cash or a cheque (payable to Jaffe & Neale with your name and telephone number on the back) in a named envelope to hand to the class teacher in the morning and she will sign the books at the end of the session.
Clubs: All clubs start next week with all places secured for those who signed up – there are spaces in KS2 Art Club (Mondays), KS2 Hockey (Mondays), KS1 Athletics (Thursdays) and KS2 Cricket/Rounders (Friday lunchtimes) – please let us know first thing on Monday morning if your child is interested. Don’t forget to bring in instruments for music lessons which started this week (Guitars with Pete Watkins start next Monday).
Thanks to Kevin Hope for another great Quiz at the Sport and Social club, raising £160 for FOHNS. Name the Easter Bunny raised £110.50 – the Easter Chick Hunt winners will be announced next week.
The next event is the Bike & Bake – Sunday 24 April, 2-4pm, supported by the village ‘Old Blokes on Bikes’ – where you can sell (bring to school from 12noon labelled with price, name & tel no – 25% of sales to FOHNS), buy, or get bikes serviced/repaired (adult & child bikes welcome), or just come along and enjoy some home-baked refreshments. Plates for cake donations will be coming home next Wednesday for return to school on Friday or on the day. Many thanks for your continued support.

Compost Giveaway – Come and get some FREE compost – supplied by Cherwell District Council’s Brown Bin scheme. Bring a shovel and wheelbarrow/container to the School car-park on Saturday 16th April between 9am and 1pm to take away your loose compost. Love Food Hate Waste advisors will be there and special offers will be available on wheelie bins and compost bins.
The Hooky Car Club electric car is based at the School and is charged using some of the solar power generated on the School roof. There is currently a special offer running until the end of May which means that members of the Car Club can drive Zoe electric car without paying for any mileage or time fees. The Renault Zoe will travel up to 80 miles on a single charge so Oxford and Stratford are within reach. Members pay just £5 per month and can use any of the Diesel cars as well.
