Dear Parents

Hooky Players: There are still tickets available for some performances of ‘Cinderella’, starring parents, children and ex-pupils of our school! Memorial Hall 28-31 Jan, 7.30pm.  Call Sheila 01608 730355 or email Sheila.little@gmail.com . Tickets cost £8 adults/£6 concessions.

Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers: Available to collect between 28 January and 5 May 2015, including online orders. Please put vouchers in the collection box in reception.

School Expansion: We are meeting next week with the project managers to discuss a timeline for the building works. I will then be in a position to give you more details. What we do know is that the work will begin with Foundation Stage, building a new classroom next to Yellow Room.  This will mean that Yellow room will need to vacate and will move into the Year 2 classroom.  Year 2 will move into the Study Centre. The courtyard will become the Foundation Stage outdoor area until the work is finished. They are hoping to begin work after Easter, but that depends on planning etc.

Once the new Foundation Stage is finished, work will then begin in KS2 with two new classrooms next to Year 4 and Year 6, so there will need to be more moving around while that work is in progress. The provision will remain the same for all classes, whatever room they are in.

This will be an exciting time for all of us and I am sure the children will be very interested in seeing the new classrooms being built!

From September our intake will rise from 30 to 45 children in Reception only; there is no change for any other year groups.

rsbp Big Garden Birdwatch

Can you or a grandparent spare an hour this weekend? Make a cup of coffee and sit and look out into your garden and see which birds come and visit especially if you have bird feeders. Please look at www.rspb.org.uk for information, resources and activities for helping children to identify different birds and encouraging more birds into your garden.
