Dear Parents

The Bingo was really well supported last Saturday with around 100 people concentrating furiously. Many thanks to FOHNS for organising the event and to Mrs Hope for her expertise in calling. We raised an amazing £547 for school projects. 

Katherine House Hospice Christmas Card Competition: Mrs Hope, Mrs Inglis, Miss Persaud and I attended the awards ceremony last night at Bloxham Mill to celebrate our children’s achievements. Out of 49 shortlisted winners, 19 were from Hook Norton! It was lovely to see all the winning entries exhibited. Congratulations to :

Clubs : there will be a further 6 Gardening Club sessions on Thursdays – members will be sent a slip to return to school with £3.

Sainsburys Active Kids : the voucher scheme has now closed – please hand any remaining vouchers in to the office the week after the May holiday so they can be counted. 

School Meals: Responding to requests there will be a permanent menu change – Wk 2 Tuesdays Veggie Mince Pasta Bolognaise, Wk 3 Wednesdays Quorn Roast and Fridays Country Veg Bake.

Brazilian World Cup Feast: Thursday 12 June. Tuck into Brazilian chicken, sticky Quorn with tomato salsa, coconut and pineapple sponge. £2.00.

Attendance:Well done to Year 1and Year 3 for Almost Full Attendance 12-16 May and to Year 2 for Full Attendance.

WELL DONES: This week we have said ‘Well Done’ to Lani Tanner, Ellis Holdsworth, Alex Wintle, all Year 3, James Daly, Lottie Denne, Emily Outten, Shannon Smith, Lewis Tobin, Owen Adams, Hugo Cardona, Lukas Wahlen.

ACTIVITIES/VISITS: Y5 attended the mixed Tag Rugby Partnership tournament where they all played really well and came 3rd. Congratulations to Eddie Brearey and Lydia Lewis who were picked as ‘Sporting Champions’.

OUT OF SCHOOL ACHIEVEMENTS: Well done to: JoJo Styles, Oliver Lloyd and William Hutchinson for completing the Blenheim 7k run in sweltering conditions, Pippa McArdle 10m Swimming.
