Dear Parents

FOHNS Family Bingo Thank you to everyone who helped to organise the event and to everyone who attended – it was great fun!

May Day: Thank you for your donations – £115.14 was raised to get our amp repaired.

Thanks to every who entered and to Louisa Houseman for organising this activity which raised £120.

Hook Norton’s Grand Garage and Car Boot Sale with the Bike and Bake Sale supported by the village ‘Old Blokes on Bikes’ will take place this Sunday 7 May. 12pm onwards. Bookings for garage sale to be included on a map (which will be circulated at the Car Boot, Bike & Bake), and car boot pitches must be booked in advance at wyattific@gmail.com.  Bikes for sale – clearly marked with name, contact number and amount (25% donated to FOHNS) – and Cakes may be brought to the school playground from 11am on the day, when car boots may also arrive to set up.

Ladies Night – Friday 19 May: Further details to follow – tickets £5 – with demonstrations, activities, nibbles, etc, and a paid bar and various mini-treatments and Stella & Dot items on sale – or just come along to chill and chat with friends.

Golf Day at Tadmarton Heath Golf Club – Friday 21 JulyJoin us for a great day out (adults only) before the chaos of the summer holidays! This event is open to everyone so invite friends and family. No handicap needed but a good level of golf will be required.

Format of the day: 12 noon: Coffee and Range Balls, 1.00pm: Tee Off (in 3 balls), 6.30pm: Fish & Chips and Prize Presentation £45 per person – (see separate flyer).

Attendance: Well Done to Year 5 for Almost Full Attendance 25-28 April and to Y6 for Full Attendance 25-28 April.

School Activities this week: Y4 attended the modern foreign languages festival at Chipping Norton School, Mrs Voce attended KS1 sats training, I attended the Chipping Norton partnership heads’ meeting and Mrs Wright attended phonics training.

Governor Business: The nominations are open for the new parent governor until 12 noon next Monday, 8 May.  The curriculum governors met this week and discussed: safeguarding, progress of pupils and reviewed various policies including Gifted and Talented, Homework and School Uniform.

This Week we have said ‘Well Done’ to : Neve Daly, Roma Kenneford, William Lowans, Darcy Lambourne, Mya Scobbie, Emily Monelle, Zoe Milne, Hetty Cooke, Dixie Kenneford, Alfie Wright, All Y6.

Pen Licence: Well done to Isabella Nunneley and Daisy Petre for obtaining their pen licence.

Out of School Achievements:. Gemma Webb and Rosie Brown for their Blue Peter badges, William Stanton Stage 4 Swimming, Ewen Rutherford Stage 5 Swimming, Becky Milne Stage 6 Swimming.  Mrs Stovin -Bradford completed her marathon!
