As you know, we have been taking part in an Erasmus project with Sweden over the last two years, with the focus on developing Literacy and Maths through entrepreneurial skills. Our Swedish partners have received a monitoring inspection for our project. The inspectors were so impressed with the project they are using the PowerPoint presentation we put together as an example of good practice for future applicants!
The children have really taken to the Daily Mile track and it is wonderful to see them going round at every opportunity! Question: why do we automatically go round a track anti-clockwise?
We have a large number of outstanding bills adding up to almost £500. The school cannot carry this debt so please pay monies owing. Dinner money needs to be paid in advance of any meals being taken and should be sent in via the class teacher in a named envelope on a Monday. Thank you.

Y1/Y2: Have visited Weston-Super-Mare today as part of their seaside Big Question.
Y3: Have been learning about fossils and Mary Anning.
Y4: Have been devising a bus tour around Hook Norton and learning about co-ordinates.
Y5: Have been watching ‘Spring Watch’ as part of their Big Question ‘What’s the sell-by date?’ and learning about life and living processes.
Y6: Went to Enstone School to see the theatre production CLICK about internet safety and cyber-bullying. They have also been doing salt-water investigations, learning about hydro-electricity and appreciating water inspired art.

The Hook Norton Walking Trail
A Walking Trail is a creative way to explore cities, towns & villages using a self-guided themed walk.
Introducing the Hook Norton Murder Mystery Trail; an easy to follow route around our beautiful Oxfordshire village, taking in some of the most interesting features and sights along the way. Whilst walking and exploring, you’ll be looking for the clues on the Trail, to solve a murder mystery. The Hook Norton Smallholding is holding an Open Day this Sunday the 10th from 12-4pm. It gives parents and their children an opportunity to see the pigs and to have a hot dog and some Hooky – the parents anyway! There will also be a Lucky Dip, Apple Bobbing, a chance to feed the pigs, a quiz and freshly brewed coffee.
