Nursery News 16 November 2018

Here are some of the things we have been busy doing this week:

Congratulations to Harry for winning first prize in the Remembrance Competition with his lovely painting of poppies in a field.

Wishing Tree Thank you for your kind donations of buttons, pasta and salt this week. Please check the tree and see if there is anything you would be happy to add to your shopping list or can find in your cupboards. We can use out of date flour, pasta, rice etc. for activities. It really does make a difference.

  • Completing Learning Journeys for Millie and Callum.
  • Learning about the festival of Divali, painting the diva lamps we made last week, making chalk rangoli patterns.
  • Finishing our Gingerbread Man numberline.
  • Watching Numbertime, counting to 10 and learning to recognise and write a 5
  • Participating in the whole school ‘Make Me Smile’ Day talking about what makes us happy and making handprints for the whole school rainbow.

Next Week:  We shall start collecting soft toys for the Soft Toy Tombola at the Christmas Fair. Please bring in any clean pre loved soft toys thank you.

Learning Journeys for:     Sinead and Oliver. What can you find at home that begins with the sound S or O ? Please bring anything you find into school to show us.

All children will receive a Learning Journey in the autumn and spring terms. Please see your child’s Key Person to make an appointment the week after their Learning Journey, thank you.

Friday   Non Uniform Day. Please bring in donations of chocolate for the Chocolate Tombola.
