We have had a really enjoyable week thinking about the first signs of Spring and enjoying the warmer weather. Inside we have been thinking about flowers that will begin to bloom in spring, printing pictures of flowers and looking at information books about the Spring. Today we have been learning about St Patrick’s Day.
Outside we have been learning about Sweden. We have played a Swedish game called Kub and written some instructions so that others can enjoy the game, painted Swedish flags and designed our own Dala horses.
Mrs Collins delivered a wonderful assembly about Equality and how it is important to treat people fairly. Our Owl Value this month is Equality.
Phonics & Maths:
In Phonics we continue to work towards your child’s targets. Thank you for your support with reading and writing at home.
In Maths this week we have been learning to tell the time at o’clock times, think about what we do at different times of the day and use everyday language surrounding time. We have also refreshed other time objectives such as ordering days and months. Can your child tell the time at o’clock times?
PE will be on Monday morning- thank you to those who have provided a PE kit for their child. We are beginning to choreograph our May Day dance together!
Our Easter Service will now be at school on Friday morning. The children will be attending but we won’t have any readings to do this time around.
Learning Journeys will be Imogen and Conner.
After Easter we will begin to do some PE lessons outdoors. As well as their normal PE kit, children will need a pair of trainers and a tracksuit top in case it is cold.
Forest School Group 1 – Tuesday 20th March – we currently have no parent signed up to help. Please sign up on the board if you can come.
