Live Love Care Think Learn Dare

Reception Times 21 October 2016

This Week:

We have had a wonderful week preparing for our Teddy Bear’s Picnic! The children have been baking cakes and making sandwiches, counting teddies, playing ‘Teddy Bear Bingo’, learning how to draw teddies and writing about their favourite teddy bears. Outside we have been threading conkers, shells and leaves, painting autumn pictures and creating leaf collages. Our Teddy Bears’ Picnic is almost ready for the children to enjoy this afternoon!

Phonics:

In phonics we have learnt to read and write the sounds-‘h’, ‘sh’, ‘r’ and ‘j’. We are practicing segmenting written words into sounds and blending.

Maths:

This week we have been consolidating all of the skills we have covered so far this term.

Learning Journeys:

In the first week back, Learning Journeys will be Elodie, Fenton, Ava L, Grace and Sam.
