We certainly have felt the effects of Storm Ali on the Foundation Unit! It’s been quite a whirlwind of a week! Miss Mayall had two days of Paediatric First Aid training and was covered by Mrs G-A. Mrs Williams covered for Miss Persaud on Monday.
Inside we have had a great time playing with the water beads. We have made leaf crowns, drawn our homes and explored the texture of autumn leaves, conkers and pine cones in our small world play.
Outside we have been weighing pine cones and making kites. There was a lot of excitement when the fire brigade turned up on Wednesday afternoon to successfully rescue a child who had accidentally got stuck between two poles!
We have attended our first Collective Worship Assembly with Mrs Collins on the importance of holidays which were originally Holydays.
The Learning Journey children have made cup cakes with Miss Mayall.
In phonics we have learnt to read and write the sound ‘a’ and ‘s’ and sounded out words beginning with these letters.
This week we have been learning how to recognise and continue a repeating pattern. Can your child recognise any patterns in their environment? e.g on a duvet cover
Next week’s Learning Journeys will be Noah and Beatrice
