Live Love Care Think Learn Dare

Reception Times 31 March 2017

This Week:

We have enjoyed hearing about Mother’s Day and some children have been writing about their day. We have been learning about foxes inside this week making fox diagrams, 3d fox models and reading stories about foxes. We have also been learning about Easter and why we celebrate Easter. The children enjoyed sharing the Easter story and making collages of The Cross.

Outside we have been celebrating Easter by designing our own Easter eggs, making Easter baskets and creating our own Easter bunny masks. We are continuing to observe how our tadpoles are growing and looking after our worms.

Mrs Collins delivered a fantastic assembly about the different ways in which people think about Jesus around the world, touching on the life of Jesus and why we especially think about Him at Easter time to fit in with our Owl Value Diversity.

Phonics:

Phonics is going well. We are continually assessing children to ensure that they are getting personalised provision.

Maths:

This week we have been learning to tell the time on digital (12h) and analogue clocks. Can your child tell the time at o’clock times?
