Live Love Care Think Learn Dare

Reception Times 7 December 2018

We have had a fun week with activities linked to the story of The Gingerbread Man. Inside we have designed our own Gingerbread men, made stick puppets to retell the story and made model boats to help the Gingerbread man get across the river safely.  We have also written Letters to Santa, now that the countdown to Christmas has begun!

Outside we have been racing with our ‘mini selves’ in the small world tray and creating picture scenes with natural objects.

Miss Persaud made Gingerbread men with the Learning Journey children.

Friday afternoon we enjoyed watching Key Stage 1’s Christmas Nativity play called The Inn-spectors.

Phonics & Maths:

In Phonics we have been practising the speed sounds and word blending with the Green words.

In Maths we have been counting on and back to 20, and working out one more than and one less than a given number.

Next Week:

We will be learning about The Christmas Story and learning some Christmas songs.

Forest School for Group 2 on Tuesday 11th December.  Thank you to parents who have already signed up to help. This is the last Forest Schoolsession until we begin the new term.  Did anyone accidentally take Alfie’s wellies and waterproof trousers home?
