Friday 9th September
We have had a wonderful start to the new term and the children have settled in very well. We would like to welcome our new children. We have all had great fun exploring the activities inside and outside and helping to get our classroom ready for the year. The children have done a great job at coming into the cloakroom on their own in the mornings and they are getting used to their new registration groups: Lions and Tigers. Ask your child which group they’re in!
We have also really enjoyed sharing our ‘WOW!’ sheets and hearing about the children’s summer holiday. Please do feel free to come in and get a ‘WOW!’ sheet if there is something your child would like to share.
We are really looking forward to beginning our reading, phonics and Maths next week. Each child will have an allocated reading day when they will read to their key person. More information about this will follow next week. We will keep the book bags in school this weekend and they can brig theirs home on their reading day.
We have our fingers crossed that our new log cabin will arrive next week which we are sure the children will love.
Because our Learning Journeys have been so successful, we will be continuing these throughout the Foundation Stage. Next week’s Learning Journeys will be Tyler L, Alex and Josh.
Please make sure that all items of clothing are named including coats, hats and spare clothes.
Please encourage your child not to bring in their toys/items from home as they could get lost or broken.
