The afternoon was a fantastic success (the weather really helped too!).  We sold lots of bikes and lots were serviced courtesy of the Old Blokes on Bikes.  Thank you for all your cake donations – nearly all were sold.  The car boot and garage sales did a roaring trade and there were lots of positive comments about what a great community event it was with everyone out walking around the village with their maps.  Many thanks to everyone who took part and helped to organise, especially Laura Wyatt, Hazel Hope and Rose Persaud. Ladies Night – Friday 19 May: Tickets £5 – with demonstrations, activities, nibbles, etc, and a pay bar and various mini-treatments and Stella & Dot items on sale – or just come along to chill and chat with friends! Please get your tickets in advance from the school office so we know numbers. Bullying and Cyber-Bullying Surveys:  Last term children in Y4/5 and 6 took part in the county online bullying and cyber-bullying surveys and we have just had the results.  I am very pleased to see that the school came out better than the county averages across the board, including questions on being taught to stay safe online, incidences of cyberbullying, reporting it, feeling safe at school, incidents of bullying (in and out of school) and reasons for bullying.  Children appreciated Anti-Bullying Week and know what to do if they are being bullied or see someone else being bullied.  There were very positive responses from the children in how the school deals with bullying (some children felt there was no bullying) but we will always respond to bullying and do everything we can to stop it.
