Live Love Care Think Learn Dare

Foundation Stage Friday 23 January

Here are some of the things that we have been doing this week

  • Lots of hospital imaginative play and Thomas and Georgia’s mummy Jill came in to talk to us about her work in the hospital. She brought with her some masks, hats and gowns for us to try on.
  • Making cars that move using boxes, wheels and axels then racing them to see which was the fastest.
  • Learning about ordinal number 1st, 2nd, 3rd … and making our own number lines.
  • Drawing pictures of our favourite books on the interactive board.
  • Using a computer program to compose our own music

Reception Read Write Inc

Blue Group

Blue Group have been consolidating the sounds ng, nk and qu and reading, making up rhyming strings and writing words with ng,nk and qu in.

Green Group

Green Group worked on Read Write Inc. Ditty Book 1 story 2.

They have read a story, practiced the correct formation of letters, filled in the missing words in a sentence and then written a given sentence. New sound ay.

rsbp Big Garden Birdwatch

Can you or a grandparent spare an hour this weekend? Make a cup of coffee and sit and look out into your garden and see which birds come and visit especially if you have bird feeders. Please look at for information, resources and activities for helping children to identify different birds and encouraging more birds into your garden.

Forest School Group – lots of warm layers, thick socks, hats and gloves please.
