Live Love Care Think Learn Dare

Foundation Stage Friday – 24 April

Here are some of the things we have been doing this week:

  • Helping the new children to settle in.
  • Learning about St. George’s Day and making the flag of St. George.
  • Ordering numbers to 20.
  • Listening to different versions of the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.
  • Printing with rhubarb leaves and making a giant beanstalk.
  • Painting pictures, drawing and writing about Jack and the giant.
  • We watched as Laila, Alfie and Reggie set their butterflies free.

Reception Read Write Inc

Both groups have revised the two letter one sounds learnt so far and have learnt the new sound air as in fair.

Green Group

Green Group worked on Read Write Inc. Ditty Book 4 story 2.

They have read a story, practiced the correct formation of letters, filled in the missing words in a sentence and then written a given sentence.They have also written about their favourite cuddly toy.

 Blue Group

Blue Group have been using the Read Write Inc Ditty reading and writing book 3 Ditty 1 and have read a story, practised their letter formation and filled in the missing words in a sentence.

Tuesday Forest School Group 2- even if sunny the children still need wellies, a waterproof coat and waterproof trousers to protect from tics and nettle stings.

If anyone has any old welly boots (adults or childrens) with holes in we would like to use them to plant flowers in please see Mrs Macdonald thank you.
