Foundation Stage Friday

 4th March

Here are some of the things that we have been doing this week:

  • We went to a whole school assembly to learn about what Fairtrade means. We used fairtrade ingredients to make banana muffins and set up a Fairtrade café.
  • St David’s Day and how it is celebrated in Wales. Making flags and observing and drawing daffodils.
  • Flower collages
  • Mothering Sunday gifts –wait and see hope you like them.
  • World book Day thank you for making such an effort the children looked amazing; we read lots of wonderful stories and joined the whole school to see all the fabulous costumes.

Blue Group

  • Reading a simple story, revising set 1 sounds and working on blending them into words using magnet boards and writing simple words.

Green Group

Reading a simple story, filling in missing words in a sentence, holding and writing a sentence.

 Nursery children have been

  • learning the sound t.
  • enjoying story sessions and lots of number songs and rhymes.

Please help them to find objects at home that begin with our sound of the week and bring them for the display table. Our next sound will be u.

Sunday  All are welcome at St Peter’s Church for a special Mothering Sunday Service at 10am

Tuesday  Forest  School  Group 2 Lots of layers please and thick socks as it can be very cold in the forest.

Wednesday Ms Kershaw will be accompanying Year 6 to Sweden and will return the following Tuesday. Mrs Nunnely and Mrs Williams will be covering in her absence.

Thursday Reception children will need hats, coats and suitable shoes as they will be walking to St. Peter’s Church for Collective Worship.
