Live Love Care Think Learn Dare

Foundation Stage Friday 9 October

Here are some of the things that we have been doing this week:

Observing and finding out about spiders. See how many webs you can find in the garden at the weekend.

  • Making our own webs and chalk web drawings
  • Using a web numberline to recognise and order numerals 0-20.
  • Enjoying activities related to the stories of The Enormous Turnip, The Little Red Hen and The Tiger Who Came To Tea
  • Changing the home corner into a café
  • All children attended Harvest Collective Worship with Mrs Collins. Thank you for your kind donations which will be taken to Banbury Food Bank.

Read Write Inc.

Reception children have been

  • learning the sounds u.b and f and how to write these correctly. They have used magnet boards to make simple words from the sounds learnt so far, blending the sounds to make words and then write the words.

Nursery children have been

  • learning the sound e.
  • enjoying song and rhyme sessions and stories and rhymes about spiders

Please help them to find objects at home that begin with our sound of the week and bring them for the display table. Next week’s sound will be f.
