Foundation Stage News 17/04/15

Welcome back, we hope that you all had an enjoyable Easter break. It has been lovely listening to the children recounting their experiences which they have recorded in their writing books. Don’t forget to pick up a WOW! sheet from the cloakroom for the children to fill in and share with their class.

The children all seem pleased to be back and have been helping to make the new children feel at home. The Reception children attended Key Stage 1 Collective Worship with Mrs Collins.

Reception Read Write Inc

Both groups have revised the two letter one sounds learnt so far and have been completing a Read, Write Inc assessment. We have also been talking about opposites and adding two single digit numbers together.

Nursery children next week’s sound is z.

Next Week:

Our focus children next week will be Izzy, Bella Courtney and Joseph.

We shall be welcoming more new children.

Suncream If sunny please put a once a day suncream on your child before they come to school. Children are discouraged from bringing cream into school (sharing products, allergies, rubbing in eyes etc.) Please also remember to bring a hat.

Tuesday Forest School Group 1- even if sunny the children still need wellies, a waterproof coat and waterproof trousers to protect from tics and nettle stings.

If anyone has any old welly boots (adults or childrens) with holes in we would like to use them to plant flowers in please see Mrs Macdonald

Thank you
