Foundation Stage News 6 June

NITS: we have many cases please check and treat your children

Here are some of the things that we have been doing this week:

  • Talking about holiday experiences
  • Making symmetrical butterfly patterns
  • Learning and using the language associated with time. Please talk with your children to help them to be aware of what time they wake up and go to bed as some were unsure.
  • Making pom poms and finding out about cheerleading dances then making up our own routines.
  • Talking about being bridesmaids or page boys. Please send in any photos.
  • Reception children attended Collective Worship with Mrs Collins.
  • Reception children enjoyed their PE session.

Reception children

Listening to, retelling and then acting out the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff.

Read Write Inc.

Blue Group

  • Using their phonic knowledge to read and write simple words and sentences.

Green Group

  • Reviewing set 2 sounds and blending them in words.
  • Using their phonic knowledge to read and write simple words and sentences.

Nursery children have been

  • Listening to stories.
  • Singing traditional nursery rhymes and ring games.

Please help them to

  • Be familiar with some traditional rhymes.
  • find objects at home that begin with our sound of the week and bring them for the display table. Next week’s sound will be d.

Next Week

Forest School group 2 . The afternoon group will not be able to go unless we have a parent to help. Please ensure that children have their full kit.Waterproof coats and trousers are essential whatever the weather.

Reception children will need their PE kits in a drawstring bag. Please make sure all items are labelled and they have trainers to run in no crocs or sandals
