At a recent meeting of the Governors’ Curriculum Committee Mrs Crouch gave a presentation on the New Curriculum and how the school has prepared to introduce it. A great deal of thought and hard work has already been undertaken. The next academic year will be equally challenging to ensure that the school continues to provide its usual all round education.
The recent meeting of the Full Governors passed on their thanks to Mrs Belgrove for her outstanding leadership; to the support staff for all that they do behind the scenes and to the teaching staff for their professionalism and resilience during a year which included another Inspection, this time from the Church. The Governors passed on their congratulations for the grade of “outstanding” that was achieved.
The summer will continue the challenge for the school as we negotiate with Oxfordshire County Council about the expansion of the school. As Mrs Belgrove has said, we are trying to ensure the best for the school but we are the end user and not the client and as such the Council has the last say as it controls the purse strings. We will give you more details in September and the County will call a meeting at which the plans for the school can be discussed.
The Parent Governors , Simon Hicks, Emma Kane, Rachael Simmons, Jean Webb and Fran Kirk, are happy to talk with you about the expansion and I shall keep them informed of any developments over the summer break.
Scott Orchard, Chair of Governors
