Prayer Space: The Prayer Space has been such a success that we are continuing it for another week after half term. This is what children have been saying about the space:

Library: There will be no Library club the Wednesday after half term due to the Prayer Space.

30 Hours Free Government Funded Nursery Education for Working Parents
We are happy to announce that from September 2017 we shall be offering the children of eligible working parents 30 hours of Nursery Education for 3-4 year olds from 9am – 3.10pm. The eligibility criteria is:
Children in families where both parents are working (or the sole parent in a lone parent family), and each parent earns from approximately £115.00 per week (a weekly minimum equivalent to 16 hours at national minimum wage); and less than £100,000 per year.
This will be in our purpose-built Nursery staffed by our experienced Early Years Teacher and Nursery Nurses. Children’s names may be added to the waiting list from the age of 2 years. Places are allocated in line with Admissions Guidelines. Parents/Carers preferences are considered in order of date of application (please ensure you have completed an application for any siblings over 2!). Activities: Year 1 had an enjoyable day at Banbury Toy Museum as part of their topic on toys, I attended, with Scott Orchard our Chair of Governors, a briefing for heads and chairs with the local authority where the main topic was the funding situation. Y4 had a Roman Day where they dressed up and enjoyed a Roman banquet!
Governor Business: There was a Full Governing Body Meeting this week. Governors looked at the school development plan to ensure we are on track, there were reports on the curriculum and finance and we discussed pupil progress and looked at the performance of the school compared to other schools for last year.
Out of School Activities: Poppy Queenan received the Silver and Purple Blue Peter badges, Zoe Milne Stage 7 Swimming, Blake Robinson TKD Yellow Belt, William Frere Player of the day for his team.
