Dear Parents

The Swedish visit was a great success – many thanks to the host families and to everyone who organised or supported an event, in particular a big thank you to Anita Robertson and Maggie Hiatt who worked so hard to oversee the whole visit and ensure everyone could be involved. Thanks also to Victoria Wilson and her mum for their fantastic cupcakes with the Swedish flag for the football tournament.

Reminders: FOHNS Quiz hosted by Kevin Hope at the Sports & Social Club on Friday 27th June 7.45pm for 8pm, £2.50 per person.

Yr4 are visiting Sulgrave Manor on Tuesday 17/6/14 – all children will need a packed lunch.

Cycling Proficiency: Can you spare some time for this very valuable training to keep our children safe on the roads? We are looking for volunteer helpers and people willing to train as instructors.

Scootering: Please ensure children give way to pedestrians when scootering on the pavement. We had a collision yesterday 

Recorders:Miss Bithell’s recorder group is cancelled on Monday 23 June because of staff training.

Hook Norton Junior Football Club FUN DAY SUNDAY 22nd June 2pm –6pm at Hook Norton Sports and Social Club, raising money for the Hook Norton Defibrillator Fund.

WELL DONES: This week we have said ‘Well Done’ to Cayden Wyatt, Ben Layton-Toye, All Year 2, All Year 3, Thomas Cornelius-Hicks, Ollie Lloyd, Matt Haldane, Matthew Campbell, Ben Driver, Lexie Harwood, Tom Joyner, Emily Dix

Mrs Belgrove’s Stars of the Week: Lucy Willis, Lexie Harwood and Georgia Street for their thoughtfulness in charity fund-raising for Cancer Research.

ACTIVITIES/VISITS: Well done to all the Kwik Cricket team and especially to Keira Koch and Harry Esson who received Sporting Champion Awards. Year 3 enjoyed an action-packed Ancient Egypt Day with a visit from Cleopatra herself! Archie and Oscar Simmonds’ Grandad kept Year 4 spellbound with his stories of life as a little boy in WW2.

OUT OF SCHOOL ACHIEVEMENTS: Well done to: Scarlett Ward Stage 3 Swimming, Evan Wollerton 50m, Morgan Wollerton 50m, Lily Stanton 5m,Isabella Nunneley Ballet Preparatory Grade, Charlotte Nunneley Freestyle Dance – Yellow, Cathryn Kirk Grade 3 Ukelele.
