You will shortly be receiving a leaflet explaining the proposed expansion for our school. There will also be two drop-in sessions on Wednesday 15 October, 2.30-4.30pm and 6.30-7.30pm in the school library for you raise any queries.
Friends Annual General Meeting – Thursday 25 September, 7.30pm
The Friends will be holding their AGM on Thursday 25 September in the study centre – please join us for some light refreshment and an opportunity to put forward ideas for the coming year. If you would like to be involved but cannot make the meeting please let a committee member know.
Parents meetings paperwork: If you were unable to attend the class parents information sessions, please collect the paperwork from the class teacher, where you will be asked to sign for it. This information gives you all the details about the new curriculum, homework etc so please do come and pick it up.
JAM Club: Jam Club is now full – they cannot accept any more children- and it starts next Wednesday.
Quidditch: It was quite surreal to see the children riding around on ‘broomsticks’, playing Quidditch! Lots of fun and great exercise and there are still some places left. The field was also turned into St Andrews as children learned the intricacies of golf. There are still places left – girls as well as boys are most welcome!
Head lice: Please check your child’s hair regularly – wet combing with conditioner is very effective- as we have a report of an outbreak in Year 4 and Year 6.
Attendance: Well Done to Year 6 for Full Attendance 8-12 September and to Year 5 for almost Full Attendance 8-12 September.
Each week, we celebrate particularly special achievements of children. This week we have said well done to: Hetty Cooke, Oliver Stowe, Oscar Ward, Tristrian Conner, Victoria Harris, Finley Robertson, Eddie Brearey, Cathryn Kirk, Sophia Robinson, Hugo Cardona, Evan Wollerton, Isobel Boyes-Watson, Remy Casson, Belle Floyd.
Out of School Achievements: Well done to Lucy Willis and her mum Allison who completed the Essential First Aid course at Chipping Norton School as part of the Family Focus programme. (See this October’s Family Focus and sign up for this potentially life-saving course). Lily Stanton achieved her Stage 3 Swimming award.
Past pupils: Many congratulations to all our past pupils who are going on to university after their successful A-level results. A large number of our ex-pupils were also nominated or won an award at the Chipping Norton School Sports Awards; well done to Max Bayliss, Sasha Koch, Maisie Green, Max Harris, Alex Tibbetts-Reeves, James Ingham. Please do let us know of any successes – it is inspirational for our children.
