Newsletter – 21 March

Dear Parents

Mrs Belgrove and Mrs Peters are in Sweden with a group of Year 6’s having a wonderful time. This morning, the rest of the class have been hearing all about their visit during a live video link.

Extra-curricular activities : Next week is the last week of clubs – except Drama and Archery which will run the following week.  JAM Clubparents/carers are invited for a cup of tea and a chance to see what the children have been doing this term.  KS2 Recorders (Mrs Wood’s group) need to bring instruments in on Monday 31 March for assembly.  Once again, thanks to all the volunteers who have run clubs this term. Details of clubs being offered in the Summer terms will be circulated as soon as they are finalised.

WELL DONE!  This week we have said well done to:- Luca Risato, Toby Driver, All Year 2, Imogen Nicholls, Harriet Tomalin, Izzy Mair, All Year 4, Katy Rohling, Eddie Brearey, Max Nicholls, All Year 6.

Attendance: Well done to Year 3 for almost full attendance last week.

Activities/Visits : Thanks to Year 4 for a brilliant class assembly. Years 2 & 3 enjoyed a partnership Schoolympics event at Chipping Norton Leisure Centre. Thursday’s

Collective Worship for Key Stage 1 and Reception was held at St Peter’s Church this week.

Year 2 have made gifts for all the mums at St Peter’s Mothering Sunday Service – Sunday 30 March at 10am. You are all really welcome!

Year 1 Class Assembly – Wednesday 26 March, 9.10am

Key Stage 2 will be going to Church for Collective Worship on Thursday 27 March – please make sure children have a coat and suitable walking shoes.

NHS Height & Weight Measurement Programme – Friday 28 March (Y6 & Foundation full-timers only– please ensure you have opted out if you do NOT want your child’s height and weight recorded by contacting the School Health Team directly as soon as possible on 01295 819133/07717 701029 (Sophie Jones).

Year 5 Football Friday – 28 March (boots and shin pads required).

The last day of term – Friday 4 April – 2pm Finish will be a non-uniform day organised by the School Council.  Bring in a £2 donation to participate which will be used to make improvements to the children’s toilets (their choice!).
