Dear Parents

The school always looks particularly lovely at this time of year with all the spring flowers in bloom and trees in blossom. Everyone has worked very hard this term and we are all ready for a break.  I wish you all a very Happy Easter.

Harry Bartlett Cups:  These cups are awarded each term to the boy and the girl who has made an outstanding contribution to the school.  This term’s winners are Jacob Benham and Cecily Peacock.  Very well done indeed!

House Points:  The winner of the House Point trophy this term is the Yellow Team – well done!

Nursery:  We are delighted to be offering the new 30 hours funded entitlement for 3-4 year olds children of working parents from September.  Please let us know if you are interested and may be eligible to take up this offer.

Sports Leaders: Well done to the following children who have successfully completed the KS2 Sports Leadership Award: Orla McArdle, Iris Fledderus, Olivia Knight, Cecily Peacock, Victoria Wilson, Abigail Nunneley, Charlotte Nunneley.  They have completed 10 hours volunteering helping sports activities with the younger children.

Goodbye and thank you to: Lynne McArdle who is stepping down from her role in Y5 and Sarah Stephens midday supervisor.  We will welcome Jane Chan, Alex Stanton, Hannah Belcher and Eva Nadasdy as new Midday Supervisors after Easter.

Bag2School – Friday 5th May by 9am.  Time to have a good clear out! We make money from your unwanted adult and children’s clothing, paired shoes, hats, belts, handbags and soft toys.

New Menus: the new school menus are now published. Latest research has demonstrated that children eating school meals make more progress academically.  Give them a try!  Meat is from Henry’s and fruit and vegetables are from a local supplier so you will be supporting local businesses as well.

Term 4 Intra-school sports competition: Y1 Yellow, Y2 Yellow, Y3 Blue, Y4 Yellow, Y5 Yellow/Blue, Y6 Yellow.  Well done Yellows – they have now come from last place to first on the leader board in one term!
