Thank you for your ideas and comments for our school vision. The governors will be collating everyone’s input and reporting back in due course. Our parents’ evenings are always very well attended and we appreciate your support. If you did not manage to attend, you are welcome to contact the school to arrange a mutually convenient appointment with the class teacher.
There will be a survey on being a church school coming home as a paper copy – please could you spare a few minutes to fill it in and return to the office.
Parking: We have a renewed complaint from a neighbour about parking across driveways and blocking The Glebe. Please park considerately when dropping off and collecting children, or, if possible, walk to school.
Welcome! Tom Reynolds has joined us as our new caretaker/cleaner in charge. He will also be a midday supervisor on Fridays. Tom is a qualified football coach and will be leading
‘Football Fridays’ from next Friday lunchtime. This is open to all KS2children; bring outdoor kit, boots and shin pads as the session will be on the field.
Goodbye! We say a very fond farewell to Kim Woodward, who leaves today after 28 years as a midday supervisor. We wish her all the best for the future. We presented her with a huge hamper of goodies today.
Valentines Cake Sale was a great success, raising £140.
Mexican Evening : A great night was had by those who attended – thanks to the Friends and all those involved in putting on the night; the chefs, the buyers and general organisers, and all those who entered into the spirit of the evening, (‘the sombrero’s’ especially, who’ll know who they are!) and supported us on the night. Profit is expected to be £466.
Well Done! This week we have said Well Done to: Ellis Holdsworth, Poppy Driver, Poppy Queenan, Ella Hawthorne, Hazel Ford, Tarron Gilkes, Oliver Wilson, William Hutchinson, Georgia Street, Ace Kenneford, James Tibbetts-Reeves, Esme Knight.

Activities: Children (and staff!) made a huge effort on World Book Day and we had some very imaginative book character costumes. It is wonderful to see the love of reading and pleasure that the children get from books. Thank you to everyone who bought books from the Book Fair. Our commission allowed every class to choose some books for their class libraries.
Out of School Achievements: Well done Hook Norton Junior Football Club Under 9’s squad who have gone a whole year without defeat! What an amazing achievement!
Swimming: Rosie Petre Stage 2, Oscar Ward Stage 6. Dance: Imogen Hutchinson Primary Ballet.
