Dear Parents

Please be aware that the next few weeks are our assessment weeks across the school when children will be taking various tests. The most important of these are the Year 6 Sats which are the statutory tests that all children across the country will be taking next week, so please ensure that children are prompt for school and have a good breakfast! (There will be no woodwind lessons with Mr Allen next week, but the other music tuition is going ahead.)

Reminder: School meal payments to be handed in to the class teacher on a Monday (or they may not be recorded that week). Please ensure that cheque payments for school meals (siblings can be written on one cheque), Breakfast Club, and different class trips etc. are written on separate cheques. Please ensure cash payments are put in a clearly marked sealed envelope and given to the class teacher.  We also offer on-line payment for meals/visits at

Oxford Brookes Placements: Next week we welcome students Louise Granville and Eleanor McMullon on a six week placement in Year 4 under the guidance of Mrs Robertson. We also have Claire Freeman in Y2 on an eight week placement with Ms Nunneley.

Sainsbury Vouchers :– Vouchers are issued until 20 May; please check all bags & purses for any remaining vouchers and hand in to the office next week. Thank you!

Well Done’s

This week we have said ‘Well Done’ to: Leila Denne, Bethany Jarvis, Imogen Taylor, Katy Rohling, Mrs Wood’s maths group, Alfie Newman, Lukas Wahlen, Morgan Wollerton, Lily Stanton, Lilya Macdonald, Zoe Robertson, Eleanor Bailey, Ines Ransom.

Mrs Belgrove’s Stars of the Week: Joe Dix and Emily Turner for their enthusiasm and willingness to rise to any challenge.

Activities/Visits: Our two athletics teams both came second in the Chipping Norton Partnership Athletics Festival – congratulations! Our visitor from the church was extremely impressed with the school and the children. She will be writing a report on the Christian character of the school which we will share with you when it arrives.

Out of School Achievements: Well done to Thomas Cornelius-Hicks ( most improved player Chipping Norton rugby Club), Cole and Jerome Davies (part of the winning team in the Chesterton Junior Football Club Tournament).
