Key Stage 1 Christmas Production : The Key Stage 1 performances take place next week at 2.00pm on Tuesday and 6.00pm on Wednesday (see note below) – don’t forget to make sure you have your tickets! They will also perform on Monday during the senior citizens/community tea party. Wednesday 9 December : Please bring children in via the main school entrance and send down to the classroom at 5.30pm (no earlier please). They can be collected from Reception after the performance.
Key Stage 2 Christmas Production : Performances take place on Monday 14 December, 6.00pm and Tuesday 15 December, 6.00pm. A separate letter is being sent out today with details of how to get tickets. Parents will receive two tickets (separated parents will receive two tickets each) and any spare tickets will be prioritised to Year 6.
Donations: Tickets are free, however there will be a collection at the end of each performance, with donations funding the community Christmas tea and expenses incurred for the productions.
Please can I remind you that the evening productions are for adults and siblings at other schools only – a crèche is provided (sign up at the office) by staff volunteers for other Hook Norton School siblings (who will have seen the production in school) and pre-school children.
PARKING: The school playground may be used for parking for the evening performances – however, please avoid driveways if parking on Sibford Road. Thank you.
Photographing/videoing of school productions: You may photograph your child after the production, for private use only. There has recently been a parental complaint about the posting of images and videos from school assemblies on Face Book. Please can I remind you of our E-Safety Policy which states:
‘ Videos and photographs taken by parents at school events are for private use only and should not be published on the internet/social networking sites’

Christmas Dinner: Thursday 17th December: Roast Turkey and all the trimmings, Roast Quorn, Roast potatoes, vegetables, Christmas Tree ice cream (no jacket potatoes). Wednesday’s meal that week will swap to Toad in the Hole or Vegetarian Toad in the Hole. Children are invited to wear a Christmas hat.
CLUBS: All clubs have finished apart from Mrs Wood’s recorder group which will carry on for the rest of term for the Christmas performances.
RECORDERS: Remember to bring in recorders for playing on Monday.
Attendance: Congratulations to Year 6 for Full Attendance and Year 3 for Almost Full Attendance 23-27 November.

Activities/Visits: Children helped me decorate the Christmas tree in the hall. We lit the first advent candle on our Advent Wreath symbolising Hope. Y3 and Y4 attended the sports festival at Chipping Norton School. Portugal won the tournament! Mrs Macdonald and I attended an Early Years Briefing.
Out of School Achievements: Well done to Anna Horth Stage 3 Swimming, Emily Monelle, Matilda Kenneford, Dixie Kenneford and Bethany Jarvis ASA Preliminary Safety skills in swimming.
