Live Love Care Think Learn Dare

Nursery News 2 November 2018

This is a weekly newsletter for parents and carers to give you some idea of the things that your children have been busy doing each week and information about any events for the following week.

Here are some of the things we have been busy doing this week:

  • Completing Learning journeys for Madison and Luke.
  • Having our photographs taken.
  • Sharing WOW sheets and talking about holiday experiences.
  • Watching Numbertime, counting to 10 and learning to recognise and write a 3.
  • Making a pot for the Wishing Tree, more details will follow soon.
  • Learning about Remembrance Sunday and why people wear poppies.
  • Creating our own poppy field pictures, painting, printing and collage.
  • Clearing the garden, pulling up gladioli plants, looking at their roots and finding out why plants have them.
  • Making repeating patterns with conkers and leaves.
  • Mixing paints to create Autumn colours.

Next Week:

Learning Journeys for:    Ossie and Harry. What can you find at home that begins with the sound O or H? Please bring into school to show us.

All children will receive a Learning Journey in the autumn and spring terms. Please see your child’s Key Person to make an appointment the week after their Learning Journey, thank you.
