Live Love Care Think Learn Dare

Nursery News 22 September 2017

Here are some of the things we have been busy doing this week:

  • Welcoming and settling the new children. This week we have welcomed Matilda, Savannah, George, Mabel, Liberty and Alfie.
  • Listening to the Rainbow Fish story and enjoying lots of activities relating to it. Printing, collage, using paint rollers, handprints and making a giant octopus. We discussed how useful (or not) it might be to have eight legs.
  • Learning how to use a variety of programs on the interactive board that help to develop number recognition, counting with 1:1 correspondence and turn taking.
  • Learning to be independent, pouring our own drinks, using the toilet, putting our own coats on and helping to tidy up.
  • Enjoying stories and rhymes. Please sing at home, as learning rhymes is an important part of children’s literacy development.

Next Week:  New children starting.

Learning Journeys for:  Heath and Savannah. All children will receive a Learning Journey each term and parents will be invited to make an appointment to discuss their child’s progress with their Key Person the week after the Learning Journey.
