Nursery News 23 November 2018

Here are some of the things we have been busy doing this week:  Wishing Tree Thank you for your kind donations of lentils and flour this week. Please check the tree and see if there is anything you would be happy to add to your shopping list or can find in your cupboards. We can use out of date flour, pasta, rice etc. for activities. It really does make a difference.

  • Completing Learning Journeys for Oliver and Sinead.
  • Listening to alternative versions of The Gingerbread Man
  • Making models of The Gingerbread Man
  • Watching Numbertime, counting to 10 and learning to recognise and write a 6
  • Observing and investigating ice outside and attempting to make ice pictures.
  • Learning to recognise the letters O and S, the sounds they make, how to form them correctly and finding objects that begin with those sounds.

Next Week:  We are collecting soft toys for the Soft Toy Tombola at the Christmas Fayre. Please bring in any clean pre loved soft toys thank you.

Learning Journeys for:   Amaryllis and Elizabeth. What can you find at home that begins with the sound A or E ? Please bring anything you find into school to show us.

All children will receive a Learning Journey in the autumn and spring terms. Please see your child’s Key Person to make an appointment the week after their Learning Journey, thank you.

Friday   Non Uniform Day. Please bring in donations of Christmas decorations, wrapping paper and cards.
