We have had a brilliant week this week! Inside the children have been doing activities surrounding Jack and the Beanstalk and other Fairy Tales.
Inside the children have been planting beans and watching them grow (not much has happened yet!), writing their own versions of Jack and the Beanstalk, printing beanstalks and castles and looking at different types of beans. We have shared lots of different versions of Jack and the Beanstalk.
Outside we have been focusing on Fairy Tales with our Fairy Tale Fancy Dress Shop and Fairy Tale Theatre, singing songs from Disney Fairy Tales and writing programmes for the theatre. Can your child name some fairy stories?
Phonics is going well. We are continually assessing children to ensure that they are getting personalised provision.
This week we have been learning to halve numbers to 20 using pennies and have started to use the language of division (sharing fairly). Can your child share an even number of objects evenly between two people?
Next week’s Learning Journeys will be Callum, Harry, Ava L and Tyler MT (due to absence).
Please keep your child (and any younger children) with you before and after school.
Please enquire at the office if you are interested in finding out more information Owl Club.
Please make sure your child has a spare clothes bag at school just in case we need to change them for any reason (e.g. being soaked in the water/ getting muddy in the mud kitchen / accidents or vomit).
PE will be on Mondays and will sometimes be outside. Please make sure your child has a tracksuit top and bottoms and a pair of trainers as well as their black shorts and white t-shirt.
Thank you for observing our no nuts policy for packed lunches.
FOHNs Ladies Night – £5 – 7.30pm in the Study Centre – it’d be great to see you there.
Forest School Group 1 on Tuesday. We need one more parent for the morning group please. Thanks to those who have signed up to help already.
Next week we will be continuing to base our activities around fairy tales – we have thoroughly enjoyed reading some alternative versions of fairy tales this week and would love for you to bring in some more!
We are excited about meeting our Swedish visitors who arrive on Wednesday.
Please encourage children to have a school dinner on Thursday for our Census day.
Have a nice weekend.
