This week we have been studying and making up different versions of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, playing in the Bears’ cottage role play area, finding out about different types of bears and mixing porridge oats with water like Mummy bear. Outside we have been looking at what happens in the season of winter, playing with pretend (and real!) snow, thinking about what clothing we need to keep ourselves warm and safe in the winter and making books about the winter time.
PE went brilliantly on Monday and the children enjoyed learning to move in different ways and recognise the effects of exercise on their bodies.
Mrs Collins delivered an insightful assembly about our value of the month: Determination.
We are looking forward to seeing parents and members of the community this afternoon for Open Afternoon.
We have started grouping for Phonics, working towards the children’s’ targets.
This week we have been learning to recognise, order and write the teen numbers and match the numbers to a set. Can your child count a teen number of coins using a 10p and 1p coins?
Next week’s Learning Journeys will be Tyler L, Tyler M-T, Ava L and Cohen.
PE kits should be in school at all times.
We already have lots of unnamed jumpers and cardigans collecting in our cloakroom. Please make sure your child’s clothes are named.
Owl club (our new after school club) and Breakfast Club are open every day before and after school. Please enquire at the office if you are interested in finding out more information.
Forest School Group 1 this Tuesday (17th). Thank you to those who have offered to help already. Forest School can’t run without support from parents. We currently need one more parent helper for the morning group and two parent helpers for the afternoon group this week.
Have a nice weekend!
