We have had another lovely week thinking about the different types of holidays you can go on. The children have enjoyed making camera models and taking photographs, discovering an old castle on the small world table and writing postcards to people they left at home!
Outside we have made tents and dens, learnt how to use balance scales to weigh items from the forest and playing with boats in our very own aqueduct!
Mrs Nixon attended more training on Monday on creating an inclusive environment.
Phonics is going well. We are continually assessing children to ensure that they are getting personalised provision.
In Maths this week we have been learning about addition and subtraction problems and how to represent them using sets of items. We have been learning how to read addition and subtraction sentences.
Next week’s Learning Journeys will be Sam, Izzy, Niamh, Poppy and Josh.
Please keep your child (and any younger children) with you before and after school. Could you also ensure you close school gates behind you if you are the last person to leave.
Punctuality – Please arrive at school on time. We open the gate as soon as the older children have gone in and lock it promptly at 9am. Please avoid coming in through the Nursery gate after 9am to avoid disruption.
Spare Clothes and PE kits need to be in school and named please.
Year 1 parents meeting – Wednesday 28th June – 2.45pm – old Red Room.
Forest School Group 2 on Tuesday – we still need one parent for the morning session and one for the afternoon session please- thank you to parents who have already signed up.
