We hope that you had a lovely Easter holidays….Can you believe the weather this week?!!
As you will already be aware unfortunately Mrs Nixon has not been at school this week. Due to a family bereavement she has been supporting her family in Northern Ireland. She hopes to be back on Tuesday. We have kindly had the help of Mrs Williams, Mrs Fallon and Mrs Lambourne.
The children have been very excited to be back at school and have been very busy! They have been very helpful at Tidy Up times too! Inside we have been mixing up new paints and making playdough, sorting out pictures of things that use Technology and things that don’t and writing about our holidays. Thank you to those who have already completed the homework so that we can refresh our Wow! Board and find out more about Technology. The children have enjoyed sharing their Wow! sheets in ‘Show & Tell’ sessions.
Outside we have continued to find out more about flowers and ‘minibeasts’ especially from our explorations in the garden.
Phonics & Maths:
In Phonics we have been focusing on the green and red words and making sentences with them. Please see the list on the inside cover of the reading record book and word bags. Thank you for your support with reading and writing at home.
In Maths this week we have been counting to 100 on a number walk, recognising & ordering teen numbers and estimating different quantities. Can your child write numbers to 9 with the correct formation?
