Live Love Care Think Learn Dare

Reception Times 30 November 2018

This week has been a good week where we have been finding out about different animal habitats and animal patterns.

Inside we have been making rain shakers and talking about Space.  We have also been learning how to sign the letters in our name.

Outside, despite storm Diana we have been exploring the properties of ice by seeing how it melts, making kites and dens.

The children coped amazingly well with the flu vaccinations on Tuesday.

Next week we will be cooking with this week’s Learning Journey children.

Phonics & Maths:

In Phonics we have learnt nk, the last of Set 1 sounds, practising to word blend and write some ‘Green words’ in our Busy Books.  Thank you for helping your child to practise their letter formation at home.

In Maths we have been continuing to find out about the different coins.  Can your child use money in the shop to buy something and hopefully get change

Please check the Lost Property box as it is quite full!

To avoid any accidents please keep your children with you in the outdoor area before and after school.

Please can you discourage your child from bringing in random objects for ‘show & tell.’ Thank you.
