We have had another great week learning about The Gingerbread Man. Inside we have made salt dough Christmas tree decorations, written letters to Santa and experimented with making boats so that the Gingerbread Man can cross the river safely. We have also been making up new versions of the story- ask your child what happened to the Gingerbread Man on safari in Africa!
Outside we have been creating nativity scenes, making holly decorations for the school reception area and threading patterned decorations using red and green pasta shapes.
Mrs Collins delivered a wonderful Collective Worship on the importance of Community, our Owl Value of the Month.
We are looking forward to seeing Key Stage 1’s nativity this afternoon.

As we are an eco-school we will not be handing out Christmas Cards at school. If your child would like to make a Christmas decoration to show they are thinking about their friends at Christmas, they may bring it in to put on the school Christmas tree.
Have a lovely weekend.
