Live Love Care Think Learn Dare

Shiver me timbers it’s our Silver Jubilee!

This week we have been celebrating 25 years since the new school was built in Sibford Road.  Mr Bowen the old head teacher  talked to the children in assembly about the making of the new school and Mrs Williams from our Nursery talked about what is was like to be a pupil in the old then the new school.  She told the children how wonderful it was to have indoor toilets!

On Thursday evening we held a wonderful exhibition of artefacts and photographs from the the old and ‘new’ schools and welcomed past and present staff, pupils and parents.  An evening of reminiscing was rounded off with the cutting of the very impressive cake (baked by Mrs Hope) by the two headteachers- past and present.

Today we have had a Pirate Day to round off our celebrations and launch our new pirate ship on our adventure playground. The children have also been entertained and amazed with a circus skills workshop where they have learnt to juggle, balance and spin plates.  We have been lucky with the weather to enjoy our pirate picnic at lunchtime.  Ay ay me hearties!
