Head Teachers Welcome

I fell in love with Hook Norton School the moment I first arrived. I heard chatter and laughter and could see busy children participating enthusiastically in engaging lessons. To see the children finding such joy in their learning I realised instantly how wonderful this school community is.

Our thriving and successful school is situated in the Oxfordshire village of Hook Norton and provides education to children from age 3-11 years. Staff here are acutely aware of the special environment that comes with working in a village school, with a strong family ethos. Staff are highly experienced, hardworking and above all, dedicated to ensuring that each pupil achieves their absolute best.

It is important to us that our school is a happy, vibrant, safe and caring place for the children to spend their days. Children are both nurtured and challenged to learn and develop new skills. We create enriching learning opportunities in all areas of the curriculum helping to create memories to last a lifetime!

We prepare children for their future by ensuring our school values - Live Love Care Think Learn Dare - are incorporated into all aspects of school life and these are underpinned by our core Christian values. We want our children to develop into active and responsible citizens. Academic success is something we also strive to achieve, and we are proud of the outstanding results seen in the recent SATS tests.

The health of our children is also high on our priority list. Participation in sports is encouraged, and children have daily access to our running track. We work closely with the Chipping Norton Partnership of Schools, engaging in both fun and competitive sporting events throughout the year.

The partnership between our school, parents and the church is what helps to make our school so unique. We have a mutual desire for your child to be happy at our school and we encourage you to be fully involved in the general life of the school.

Our website is designed to give you an insight into school life at Hook Norton C of E Primary and provide you with practical information.

Should you wish to visit the school or gather more information, please do get in touch.

I look forward to meeting with you.
